As part of its mission to support others, St Paul’s has a long history of giving generously to a variety of charities, local, national and international. We believe it is our Christian duty to help those in need and those who are suffering, and we are seeking to make a difference both in our local area and to wider society. We do this in a number of ways, including working with several local charities who use our Parish Centre and Church building. For example we provide our kitchen, rent free, to local charity Four Streets to provide an evening meal to those who are homeless or vulnerably housed (more information on Four Streets can be found HERE). We also raise money through a number of events held throughout the year, including a Summer BBQ and an Autumn Barn Dance, to support several Anglican Mission Charity projects overseas. These include the Church Mission Society (CMS) and SPCK (the Society for promoting Christian knowledge). During the year we also support Christian Aid, the Children’s Society and several other local and national charities. For further information please contact Chris Merrien who leads the Mission Fundraising Group, via the Church Office by email: office@stpaulschichester.org
We also support the Chichester Foodbank and members of the congregation are invited to bring tinned and non perishable food to St Paul’s on the 1st SUnday of the month at the 10am service. Details of the Foodbank can be found via their website HERE
